Mamriah ממריאה Community Learning Project

Where social growth and Jewish learning take flight

If your child has ever felt out of place in traditional Hebrew School classrooms — misunderstood, overwhelmed, or left behind — you are not alone. Many neurodivergent children, including those with autism, ADHD, or learning differences, need more than simply patience or accommodation. They need an environment built from the ground up by people who truly understand how they think, feel, learn, and connect.

That’s exactly what the Mamriah Community Learning Project was created to do by the partnership between Jewish Learning Venture, Temple Beth Hillel-Beth-El, and visionary neurodiversity specialist and author Mike Fogel, MA, ATR-BC, LPC.

Adapted from the nationally recognized Camp Pegasus and Art of Friendship™ models, Mamriah (Hebrew meaning “to take off, soar”) blends therapeutic, evidence-based, social-emotional learning with Jewish education in a compassionate, structured, and creative environment. Every element—from the structure of the day to the tone of communication, sensory setup, and the length and pacing of activities—has been designed with precision and care to support the social-emotional and learning needs of neurodivergent children to decrease anxiety, and foster joyful, confident engagement in both Jewish learning and peer relationships.

In this warm, creative, and structured school-within-the-school, children build essential social skills for forming lasting friendships: communication, flexibility, empathy, and emotional regulation—while receiving Jewish education in Torah, Hebrew, values, holidays, language, and traditions that nurture a strong sense of identity and belonging. Guided by a partnership with master’s-level neurodiversity therapists and Jewish educators, each student experiences success, connection, and genuine pride in who they are.

Parents and caregivers are partners in this process too. Through workshops, weekly updates, and open communication, you’ll gain practical tools to help your child apply what they learn—at home, in school, and within your community.

If you’ve been looking for a place where your child (and you) can finally feel understood, supported, and able to thrive—socially, emotionally, and spiritually—this is it. Check out the program details that follow.

We invite you to apply for admission to the Mamriah Community and watch your child’s confidence, friendships, and Jewish identity soar. Exclusive Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El early bird registration period ends on Monday, December 1st. After that, enrollment will be opened to the rest of the Jewish community. Don’t miss out!

With warmth and encouragement,
The Mamriah Team
