Synagogue Updates

Happy Thanksgiving and a really early Shabbat Shalom,

Please watch out Pre-Thanksgiving/Pre-Shabbat video message from Rabbi Witkovsky, where he ties in this week's Torah portion to Thanksgiving. 

In his video, Rabbi Witkovsky challenges each of us to find a way that we can help others take care of their physical needs: here are a few ways to do this with the synagogue and in the greater community:

• Volunteer to box and deliver food at Jewish Relief Agency. Their next food distribution date is December 11. 
• Buy something off of HIAS PA's winter registry. 
• Support our Response to Hunger and Cook for a Friend programs with a donation or by volunteering on December 12 and 13. 
• Participate in the JCC's Morning of Giveback on Thanksgiving
• Support and volunteer with some of our local Food Distribution organizations: Narberth Community Food Bank, Philabundance, and MANNA

On Kol Nidre, Rabbi Witkovsky spoke about gratitude and blessings and we gave out blessing cards to the community. Here is that sermon again to help frame your Thanksgiving. 

There will be no Friday email this week. We invite our families with college students (and everyone) to come this Friday evening to meet Rabbi Witkovsky, to share in some dessert and to show off their college gear. On Shabbat, we will all be together, there are no youth services this week.  Minyan is in person tonight and on Sunday morning.
