Summary |
We have so many important emails to be sending this week - the Pharisee came out, we are sending our zoom links for the High Holidays tomorrow - but in many ways, this might be the most important email that we send out this week. We have talked a lot about the importance of belonging to a community over the past year - and to that end, I have a strange request for each of you.
Do you have space in your refrigerator and/or freezer? (And if so, do you require the food to be kosher?
This storm seems to have a high likelihood of having sections of our community lose power. This is frustrating in the best of times. It is even more challenging when someone has already bought or cooked their holiday meal. So in anticipation of potential power loss in our community - if you have space to lend a fellow congregant, please let me know. If you end up needing space, please email me or call my on my cell, 513 503 9559. If there is a need and someone has room, I will try to make the shidduch.
As a reminder for those that have gotten this far - we have had several requests from people that need help with rides to various medical appointments. If you are willing and able to drive a vaccinated person, please let me know.
Thank you so much - tomorrow we will return to our regularly scheduled High Holiday communication plan with emails from the Rabbi and with our annotated schedule with links.
Please stay safe and dry,
Ken
p.s. I feel like my mother has spent years preparing me to write this letter - frequently sending me WeatherMom alerts for every potential weather incident and occurrence.
