Torah Fund Brunch Honoring Fran Perlman

On Sunday, April 22, the annual Torah Fund Brunch will honor Fran Perlman and celebrate the spirit of community she brings to Sisterhood and Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El as a whole.

A TBH-BE member since age 10, Fran became involved in Sisterhood in her late 20s by volunteering at the Chanukkah Bazaar (known as the Craft & Gift Show today). Over 35 years later, Fran remains heavily involved though largely behind the scenes, quietly marshaling the legion of volunteers who help run the Craft & Gift Show year after year. She’s taken on similar roles for the Party Expo and also gave her time to support Mishloach Manot for many years—all because she enjoys gathering together our members and making them feel like a valued part of the TBH-BE community.

Even Fran’s work with the Early Childhood Center reflects her exceptional ability to create a warm, welcoming environment. During her 20 years with the Bright Horizons program, Fran has helped more than 80 families find a preschool setting where children with speech delays and learning differences can grow and thrive.

Her contributions also extend as far as the TBH-BE Board, where Fran served as a member for nine years, followed by two years on the Board’s Nominating Committee. We will highlight many more of Fran’s contributions on Sunday, April 22.
