9:45 AM - 11:00 AMLibraryConnecting with Your Partner While Parenting
Led by Dr. David Fask
For many couples, marital satisfaction decreases substantially after children. Between the sleepless nights of infancy, temper tantrums of toddlerhood, strained finances, battles over homework, soccer practices, and stress over college admissions, it’s easy to understand how a couple’s relationship takes a back seat. Before long, parents may think of their partner primarily as a co-parent. Fundamental identities may change: from wife to mother; husband to father; from best friends and partners to parents. This session is designed to give parents tools to navigate their relationship with their partners. All are welcome.
David Fask, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist, will facilitate this session. He specializes in managing stress, anxiety, and self-esteem, as well as helping parents enhance intimacy in their relationship while raising children. He and his family are members of TBH-BE.
