The TBH-BE Men’s Club provides a forum for male congregants to collectively address the needs of the synagogue and its membership while contributing to the vitality of our congregation. Our goal is to be an asset to the congregation by actively participating in, creating and sponsoring events that enrich the congregation. We desire to strengthen friendships within our group and our synagogue, as well as to create ties with our youth, other local synagogues and the community at large. It is with great pleasure that TBH-BE Men’s Club announces its sixth Annual Man of the Year: Richard Stutman, Rich is our sixth honoree and joins a very dedicated and deserving group of predecessors: Howard Elgart, Scott Feuer, Lew Rothstein, Allan Horowitz and Howard Zwick.
Richard has been an active member of our Men’s Club for the last 5 1/2 years. He has co-chaired our Third Annual Tzedakah-thon working tirelessly. This led to ever increasing participation. He has been a captain of one of our 2 inter-shul softball teams. The last three years he has served as our Co-President. He continues to serve our congregation as Vice President for Social programming of the Synagogue. Dinner Reservations due by November 27, 2009. Ad information is on the flyer.

Hope you joined us for Tzedakah-thon 2009, our EIGHTH annual event! It was a great day of walking, running or biking for tzedakah followed by our usual great time of food, music and activities for kids and adults of all ages and we closed out our Jubilee Year celebration. See some photos.
Softball 2009
Our softball season ended with playoff losses before the finals but it was a great year with our teams finishing in 1st and 3rd place in the regular season. We will get them next year.
Investment Club
Did you know that the Men’s Club has an Investment Club? For the last 4 years, the Investment Club has been working together to educate ourselves in investing while having fun and hopefully earning some money. We are open to having new people join the club and have revamped the membership structure to make it easier for new people to join the club. Minimum initial investment is only $150 with a minimum monthly investment of $36. We meet most months, normally on Wednesday night or Sunday mornings. The Investment Club reported a net gain of about 20% for 2007. The Investment Club has a diversified portfolio of stocks with assets under management and 34 members. Hope you were able to join us for Tzedakah-thon 2009. Thanks to all the volunteers and participants. We raised about $40,000 to help many tzedakot. See some pictures.
