Dear Friends,

Last February, 30 congregants joined me and Lori for our second annual adult weekend retreat. We enjoyed wonderful meals, informal Shabbat services, the peaceful beauty of natural surroundings, friendship, deep conversations and lots of laughter.

We are now accepting registration for our 3^rd Annual STAR (Shabbat Together / Adult Retreat) Weekend. Once again, our retreat will take place over Presidents Weekend, February 16 - 18, 2018 and will be held at Pearlstone Retreat Center, 2 ½ hours south of Philadelphia.

This year’s study program will focus on some cryptic and most intriguing aggadic (narrative) passages from the Talmud. We will use the recently published book, A Bride for One Night, by Ruth Calderon as our text and starting point for our discussions.  Among the expected reactions to this material will be:  Had I known that the rabbis talked about this, I would have started studying Talmud long ago!

There is limited space for our group at the Pearlstone Center and many who have participated in the past have already indicated an interest in attending.
