Welcome to the lay-led services (and other stuff) of the Havurah of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El!
Havurah?
The Havurah offers an intimate way to worship, learn, teach and celebrate while still being part of the larger Beth Hillel-Beth El community. We welcome everyone —
▪ Families (there’s a play space in the room),
▪ Newcomers to the community
▪ Long-time synagogue members….
Services
Our traditional, egalitarian services are lay-led, which means:
▪ They remind some of us of Camp Ramah (but without the mosquitoes!);
▪ You will experience different prayer leaders;
▪ Ten-minute sermons or Torah/prayer teaching by various congregants;
▪ If you or your child would like to lead — or learn to lead — part of a service, read Torah/haftarah, or share words of Torah, we can help make it happen.
We welcome everyone!
Join us — even if just once in a while. Come for a service or two (or three…). And join our list-serve (send your email address to Ellie at
5kremers@verizon.net) to be kept abreast of events and other community news. (There’s no obligation; no salesman will call!)
